I joined v4c as an Associate Data Scientist, but my journey has been anything but limited to one title. Some days I’m building ML models. Other days, I’m setting up cloud instances, fine-tuning GenAI pipelines, writing Streamlit apps, or even architecting end-to-end solutions. 

From data cleaning to model deployment, training LLMs to experimenting with GenAI personas—I've had the chance to dive deep into real, hands-on work. And that’s what I wanted: real exposure.

That realization led me to v4c.ai, and it has been one of the best decisions I've made.

My Role at v4c.ai

I joined v4c.ai as an Associate Data Scientist, but my experience has been far from conventional. On any given day, I might be a data engineer, a data analyst, a GenAI practitioner, a cloud specialist—or even a Streamlit developer.

Since day one, I've been exposed to the full spectrum of the data science lifecycle, including data ingestion, cleaning, exploratory analysis, visualisation, model building, hyperparameter tuning, deployment, and monitoring. It's been intense but in the best way possible.

Recently, I've been exploring large language models (LLMs) and general AI (GenAI) personas, working on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and experimenting with various embedding and conversational models to assess their performance.

What I Love About v4c.ai

There's a lot I could say about why I enjoy working here, but a few things stand out:

Training That Changed Everything

In just under a year, I've gone through multiple structured learning programs that shaped who I am today:

• Python & SQL Basics: The first two weeks were focused on core coding skills.
• Dataiku Training: Five months of deep hands-on work with an industry-grade platform—leading to six Dataiku certifications.
• Soft Skills: Present Like a Pro: Training that sharpened my presentation and storytelling skills.
• Generative AI Month: Practical projects and client-ready training on GenAI.
• Agentic AI Training: Instructor-led sessions and assignments to build confidence in real-world applications.
• Client Readiness: A course in communication, consultative mindset, and client interactions.
• Emotional Management: Learning to stay composed, communicate assertively, and protect my mental health at work.
• Databricks Upskilling: After Dataiku, I dove into Databricks. I'm now 3X certified and preparing for my fourth.

The Transformation

It's hard to believe how much has changed in just 11 months. The kind of hands-on exposure I've had at v4c.ai would've taken years anywhere else. I've grown not just as a professional but as a person—more confident, more thoughtful, more mature. My family and friends see the change, too, and that makes me proud.

I'm no longer just a college grad figuring things out. I feel prepared, capable, and hungry for what's next.

What's Next?

After my next Databricks certification, I plan to double down on data structures, algorithms, and coding. I want to continue sharpening my skills—not just for myself, but as a way to give back to a company that has invested so much in me.

I'm deeply grateful for this journey and incredibly excited about what lies ahead. Here's to new challenges, more growth, and another year of becoming better than I was yesterday.
