Quarter of Legends: Community Recap

A quick recap of the quarter that shaped the Lakehouse Lagers & Legends community, featuring city meetups, takeaways from the Databricks Data + AI Summit 2025, hands-on sessions, and what’s next for the growing global community.

A season of stories, faces, airports, late-night prep, full rooms, and a global community finally taking shape.

This wasn’t just another quarter of meetups. It was the moment the v4c.ai x Databricks community started feeling like… a movement. New cities, new voices, first-time speakers, packed rooms, and a shared excitement around what the Databricks AI+ Summit 2025 meant for today’s builders.

We took key ideas from the Databricks Data + AI Summit 2025. We turned them into practical sessions that helped teams understand real workflows, migration paths, and design patterns for data engineering and AI.

The meetup series gained momentum and evolved into "Lakehouse Lagers and Legends," reflecting its technical depth and growing global community.

Reliving the AI+ Summit Across India

When the Databricks AI+ Summit wrapped in San Francisco, we knew not everyone could make the trip.

Instead of letting the energy fade, we packed our bags and brought the insights home: four cities, six storytellers, countless conversations.

New Delhi, where it all began

Despite the stormy weather, the room was full. Over 80 attendees showed up to hear Anupam Maheshwari and Gaurav Patle break down the Summit’s biggest ideas, backed by on-the-ground support from Arshdeep Singh and Anirudh Shrivastava.

“More events would be highly appreciated.” — Rahul Anand, Attendee
That one comment basically set the rest of the quarter in motion.

Pune: A fresh voice, a beginner-friendly story

Shubham Dwivedi stepped up with confidence, teaming with Urvi Shah to present Summit takeaways in a way that first-time data practitioners loved.

One attendee summed it up perfectly:
“Got to know about Databricks’ powers. The demo was quite informative. The plug-and-play role of Databricks was impressive.”

This was the moment we realized beginners need relatable sessions, not just enterprise-level talks.

Mumbai: Community energy at its peak

The response on social media to bringing the Databricks AI+ experience to different cities led us to Mumbai.

There, Sakshi Sonawane and Sachin Bagale hosted a session featuring candid conversations and a highly popular live demonstration.

“Databricks made life easier.” — Meetup attendee

And that’s why hands-on content always wins.

Delhi (Round Two): Because once wasn’t enough

Delhi showed up again—this time with Gaurav Patle and Mandhan, who took a deeper dive into pipelines, AI workflows, and Databricks-powered engineering patterns.

Thanks to Archit Sharma for running logistics flawlessly and making the event feel effortless.

Bangalore: “It felt like I was actually at DAIS 2025.”

Data Legends Pavan V and Naveen Kumar walked attendees through visual highlights from the Summit.
Attendee feedback said it best:
“I felt like I was actually present at DAIS 2025 in the US.”

Mission accomplished.

A New Name. A New Identity. A Global Beginning. Lakehouse Lagers & Legends

The momentum was undeniable. It was time to give the series an identity that captured its spirit.

Introducing: Lakehouse, Lagers, & Legends

A meetup where knowledge meets community, and learning happens over conversations. And then the quarter gave us a milestone moment: our first global LLL meetup in Dallas.

Dallas: Where everything became global

Hosted by Nicole de Mocskonyi and powered by insights from Vishal Poddar, the Dallas meetup felt like a reunion of builders who had been waiting for a space like this. People asked real questions. They shared real challenges.

They openly compared architectures, tools, and lessons learned. Dallas didn’t just attend.
Dallas connected.

What’s Coming Next

More cities joining the LLL series, deeper hands-on labs, architecture-focused sessions, first-time speakers & community-led topics, and the launch of our LinkedIn Community Group this quarter. This group will be the hub for updates, discussions, resources, and global networking.
